I woke up in Nashville

On August 20, 2021, Stoney Clover Lane announced the opening date of their newest store in Nashville, Tennessee. Ryan and I knew in the matter of seconds that we needed to start planning our trip. We had less than two months until the October 13th opening! Yee-haw!

We messaged our SCL besties (a handful of girls from our Stoney Clover group chat) to see if anyone else was going to make the trip, and to our surprise, almost all of us were on the same page! We all decided we were going to book a room at The Graduate Hotel... which turned out to be the best decision... you'll see why.
After Ryan and I booked our hotel and our flights, the countdown began! We both started searching every corner of the internet for the perfect Nashville outfits. I found the cutest "Let's Go Girls!" t-shirt on Esty, as well as some cute stuff from Shein and Forever 21.

Fast forward to October 12 - we have arrived in Nashville! We hurried to our hotel room, which was EVERYTHING! The wallpaper was pink and white striped, the mirror had golden guitars on them, and there was a photo of Dolly hanging above our bed.
We were invited to a private Pre-Store Opening Party on the rooftop of our hotel, at the White Limozeen. Let me just say, Stoney Clover knows how to throw a party! There were themed beverages, an assortment of hors d'oeuvres, and even a station to screen print our own Opening Day t-shirts! I loved meeting so many members of the community! It felt like we had all known each other already, but we were all meeting for the first time IRL.
The highlight of our weekend was when Ryan and I finally got to meet the founders/owners/CEOs/CCOs of Stoney Clover Lane, KENDALL & LIBBY GLAZER! It was such an honor and a privilege to meet them and be able to chat with them for a bit. Kendall knew exactly who we were and said, "It feels like I already know you from Instagram!"

Just when we thought the night was coming to an end, we were all invited to head downstairs where we kept the party going at the Cross-Eyed Critters Karaoke Bar. Our friend Christina signed her and I up to sing "Genie in a Bottle" by Christina Aguilera (Chris x Christina singing Xtina). It was my first (and probably last) time singing karaoke.
The next day was October 13, Stoney Clover Lane Nashville Opening Day! We arrived at the store around 8am, and there were about 15 girls ahead of us in line. The store didn't open until 11, so we had to wait a few hours before heading inside. As it got closer to opening, we were enrolled in a virtual queue. While we waited for our turn to enter the store, we headed next door to the Stoney Clover Lane BLOCK PARTY! Yep, I said Block Party!
The Block Party was catered by Loveless Cafe (which was absolutely delicious!) There was also branded cotton candy, and even a tap truck serving Palomas and lemonade.
♡ Stoney Clover posted a photo of us on their Instagram page from the Block Party! It's the third photo in the photo set from the Instagram post below if you want to check it out!
We finally got to go inside the store, and boy, were we blown away! We've been to the Stoney Clover store in Palm Beach and The Hamptons, but WOW! This store was beautiful! There was so much to look at, and so many things that we wanted! I stood at the special embroidered section of the store, and kept my eyes peeled for the perfect pouch. Their embroidered items are special because they are one-of-a-kind.

This is the pouch I picked up! It's a noir small pouch with an embroidered guitar and NASHVILLE in alternating colors. It was love at first sight.
We went back to the store the next day to pick up some more things. We also spent some time walking down 12 South, which is the street the store is located on. In case anyone wants to go visit, it's located right across the street from Draper James, Reese Witherspoon's store, and the iconic blue and white striped wall. We spent the morning taking photos, and grabbed breakfast at The Pancake Pantry.
It was almost time to head home, but first we met up with our friend, Derek, who was our own personal chauffeur for the weekend. He showed us around downtown and we went to this really great taco place for dinner. Super thankful for his friendship!
Nashville was an absolute dream ☆ I had the time of my life and met some pretty incredible people. I can't wait to go back! Thank you for the hospitality, Nashville and Stoney Clover. When's the next SCL PARTY? Let's do this again soon ♡
