In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, The Walt Disney Company gave each Cast Member a free resort stay. The date I chose was Friday, September 3, which was my 28th birthday. We didn't get to choose the resort; one was randomly selected for us. When I found out that my resort stay was going to be at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, I knew right away how I wanted to celebrate.
For my boyfriend Ryan's 24th birthday last year, I threw him a LoverFest themed birthday party, after Taylor Swift's Lover-era concert-festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the CDC guidelines. It was a total surprise and he loved it! For my birthday, Ryan wanted to throw me my own themed birthday, so after I told him what kind of theme I wanted, he took full control and threw me the perfect cabin party.
For those who don't know, my favorite movie of all time is the 1998 remake of Disney's The Parent Trap, starring the iconic Lindsay Lohan. Basically, Hallie Parker and Annie James attend the same Summer camp, Camp Walden, and realize they are long-lost twin sisters. At camp, they decide to switch places so they can meet the parent they never knew.
Ryan gave me my own Camp Walden getaway in a log cabin all to ourselves. It was everything I dreamed it would be - from Oreos and peanut butter, Evian bottles with lizards glued-on, playing cards, a s'mores kit, and even a custom cake.
It was the perfect weekend full of outfit changes, good food, and great company. I was able to live out my Parent Trap fantasy (too bad I didn't find out I was a twin separated at birth.) It was truly a birthday I will never forget! Thank you so much, Ryan ♡.
xoxo Hallie... or Annie... Welp, I guess you'll never know.
